Our story begins back in the 1980s during the start of the golden age of home console video games.  A young boy plays an 8-Bit Nintendo for the first time but is left unimpressed.  Graphics & Sound of the NES console is nothing close to the arcade platform, even for games that are exclusive to the system, there is much to be desired.  Ports of the popular arcade titles are subpar on the square, gray box.  Thankfully, the 16-Bit systems are just about to land at our shores!  The Sega Genesis & Super Nintendo raise the bar considerably; showcasing a much wider color gamut, graphical detail and superior sound.  Perfect timing too, as the 1-on-1 fighting game craze is about to erupt.  Street Fighter II is released by CapCom and the SNES port is a massive hit.  It can't get better than this, right!?  That's what was thought until a local arcade got a big red machine on it's floor.  Containing six switchable games, he couldn't take his eyes off the cabinet's screen.  He had never heard of this company before, nor the games that were cycling including Fatal Fury, World Heroes & Art of Fighting.  From that moment on, he was hooked.  Subscribing to GamePro & Electronic Gaming Monthly, he did everything he could to get more information on this company, the system & it's platform.  Shocked with disbelief, there was a home version of this exceptional console....The Neo Geo Advanced Entertainment System (AES).  Although entrance to this club was expensive, it was a necessity. Games were identical in every way to the arcade experience.  Graphics, sound, animation, etc were not compromised.  The only weakness was the system's video output, but that was about to change...
